Geboren in Kolumbien, ist Mónica Rincón heute mit ihrer Familie zuhause bei Frankfurt am Main. Ihren ersten Harfenunterricht erhielt sie in ihrer Heimatstadt Bogotá. In Deutschland absolvierte sie ihr künstlerisches Diplom bei Francoise Friedrich an der Musikhochschule Frankfurt am Main, danach ein Konzertdiplom in Kammermusik bei Prof. Godelieve Schramma an der Musikhochschule Detmold.
Mónica Rincón ist Preisträgerin beim Wettbewerb „Preis Junger Interpreten Luis Angel Arango“ im kolumbianischen Bogotá sowie beim lateinamerikanischen Harfenwettbewerb „Cecilia de Majo“ (1. Preis). 2014 wurde die Künstlerin in das Kuratorium der Offenbacher Cornelia Goethe Akademie berufen, für das sie lange musizierte.
Die Harfenistin hat beruflich viele Teile Europas und Südamerikas bereist: Frankreich, Italien und Österreich, die Schweiz, Spanien, Perú, Kolumbien und Venezuela. Sie trat u.a. mit dem HR-Sinfonieorchester, Staatsorchester Darmstadt den Bremer Philharmonikern und dem Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá auf und spielte in Sälen wie der Berliner Philharmonie, der Alten Oper Frankfurt und der Laeizhalle Hamburg. Mehrere Stipendien unterstreichen ihre Kompetenz (Deutscher Musikrat, Hessische Kulturstiftung). Monica Rincón folgte der Einladung, beim Internationalen Harfenkongress der “Foundation Salvi“ in Kolumbien aufzutreten, daneben musizierte sie beim Harfenfestival „Harpissima“ in Frankfurt a.M. sowie bei „Salvi Europe“.
Beherzt widmet sich Mónica Rincón, die solistisch wie als Kammermusikerin konzertiert, der lateinamerikanischen Musik, in der die Harfe eine wichtige Rolle spielt. Im Moment plant sie Projekte mit lateinamerikanischer Musik, außerdem Workshops und Kinderkonzerte.

Mónica Rincón inicia sus estudios de arpa en su ciudad natal Bogotá. Realiza su pregrado y postgrado en la Escuela Superior de Música de Frankfurt – Alemania, obteniendo el título de Arpista Concertista Solista. A continuación, sigue un postgrado en Música de Cámara en la Escuela Superior de Música de Detmold. Actualmente reside con su Familia en Frankfurt.
Su carrera artística la ha llevado a diferentes partes del mundo, actuando en países como Francia, Italia, Suiza, Austria, España, Perú y Venezuela. También ha tenido la oportunidad de tocar con orquestas de gran renombre como la Hessische Rundfunk, Orquesta de la Radio-Hessen, Orquesta de la ópera -Bremen-, Orquesta de la ciudad de Darmstadt, Orquesta filarmónica de Bogotá, entre otras. Así mismo, ha tocado en las salas más importantes de Alemania, como la Sala de la Orquesta Filarmónica de Berlín, la Alte Oper de Frankfurt y la Leaizhalle de Hamburgo.
Ha sido becaria de Deutsche Musikrat y Hesschische Kulturstifftung para llevar a cabo sus propios proyectos y ha sido solista invitada por “Salvi” Harpissima “Frankfurt” y por la Fundación Salvi para el Encuentro Juvenil de Arpa. En el 2014, Mónica fue invitada a ser parte de la junta directiva de la Academia Cornelia Goethe por su trayectoria artística.
Se resalta también su participación en la serie: Jóvenes Intérpretes en la sala Luis Ángel Arango del Banco de la República en Bogotá. Así mismo, obtuvo el primer premio en el 1º Concurso Latinoamericano de Arpa: Cecilia de Majo.
En la actualidad, Mónica se desempeña como arpista solista y hace parte de diferentes formaciones de música de cámara y orquesta. Además de su actividad en la música clásica, busca nuevas alternativas en la música latinoamericana. También desarrolla sus propios proyectos como conciertos para niños y workshops para ensambles de arpa.
Otro de sus campos de acción es la enseñanza de arpa desde el 2010. Sus alumnos han sido galardonados en importantes concursos como Jugendmusiziert, Verband der Harfen y también seleccionados para de orquestas juveniles en Alemania.

”Born in Colombia, Mónica Rincón now is based near Frankfurt am Main with her family. She received her first harp lessons in her hometown of Bogotá. Mónica Rincón is a prize winner at the “Luis Angel Arango Young Interpreters Award” competition in Bogotà, Colombia, as well as the Latin American Harp Competition “Cecilia de Majo” (1st prize). In 2014, she was appointed to the board of the Cornelia Goethe Academy .
The harpist has professionally traveled to many parts of Europe and South America, including France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Peru, Colombia and Venezuela. She has performed with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony, the Bremen Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá, among others, and has played in venues such as the Philharmonie Berlin, the Alte Oper Frankfurt, and the Laeiszhalle Hamburg. Several scholarships underscore her competence (German Music Council, the Cultural Foundation of Hesse). Mónica Rincon accepted the invitation to perform at the ”Foundation Salvi” International Harp Congress in Colombia, and she has also performed at the Harp Festival “Harpissima” in Frankfurt am Main and “Salvi Europe”.
Dedicated and wholehearted, Mónica Rincón, who performs as a soloist and chamber musician, devotes herself to Latin American music featuring the harp. She currently is planning projects involving Latin American music, as well as workshops and children’s concerts.
